The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques stated that each exit is assigned a unique colour to help visitors find their way around the vast mosque and return to their accommodations after completing prayers and rituals, Saudi media outlets reported on Saturday.

In addition to improving access, a childcare facility has been established in the mosque’s courtyard to assist parents during their visit. The centre operates daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. under professional supervision.

Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfik Rabiah explained its purpose in a post on X: “The Children’s Hospitality Centre in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque provides a secure and entertaining space with cultural content, allowing parents to enjoy peaceful moments of worship.”

The Prophet’s Mosque, home to Al Rawda Al Sherifa, where the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is located, welcomed over 280 million worshippers in 2023. Many pilgrims visit the mosque after performing Umrah in Mecca, making it a key part of their spiritual journey.
